Ahead of Their Majesties’ Coronation this week, The King and The Queen Consort visited the Palace of Westminster and met members of both Houses of Parliament.
Nusrat Ghani, MP for Wealden, was honoured to attend the reception and meet His Majesty The King.
Nusrat Ghani said: "I'm honoured to have met His Majesty The King during his visit to the Palace of Westminster today to celebrate the upcoming Coronation. It was a privilege to spend a little time talking about Wealden and share congratulations on behalf of Wealden residents. God Save The King!"
To celebrate the Coronation, the 17th century Speaker’s State Coach, is on display in Westminster Hall until the autumn to commemorate the crowning of King Charles III. The State Coach, which was last seen in the historic Westminster Hall in 2005, was used in so many historic state events, including the Coronations of Her Late Majesty, her father and grandfather. The coach is now preserved as a historic object and work of art in the Parliamentary Art Collection.
