Nusrat Ghani, MP for Sussex Weald, has joined Mr Speaker at the opening of the Gardens of Remembrance in Parliament to represent residents of Sussex Weald and place a poppy tribute in memory of all those who bravely served and gave their lives.
The Garden of Remembrance provides MPs with an opportunity to participate in an act of Remembrance on behalf of their constituency by planting a wooden Remembrance tribute in commemoration of those who serve, or have served, in His Majesty’s Armed Forces.
Nusrat Ghani said: "I was honoured to place a poppy cross tribute in the Constituency Garden of Remembrance in Parliament on behalf of Sussex Weald residents. It is important that we come together and remember those who have lost their lives in the name of freedom and democracy. We Will Remember Them."
