Nusrat Ghani, MP for Wealden, has recently met with Wealden resident and founder of The WayfinderWoman Trust Laura Murphy, to learn more about the charity’s work and current projects.
WayfinderWoman is a female run, volunteer-led charity helping women of working age across Wealden and East Sussex build their self-confidence and skill sets. The charity received The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2021 for their outstanding work, and has to date helped over a thousand women improve their lives and secure paid employment.
As well as providing assistance, WayfinderWoman gives women access to resources and networks through free grant-funded workshops, training, coaching and on-line support. Additionally, their drop-in advice and support hub provides a safe space where tailored assistance can be provided face-to-face.

WayfinderWoman relies on volunteers, grants and donations to provide their services, advice and support, which are free to any woman of working age.
