Wealden MP Nus Ghani recently met with the leader of East Sussex County Council (ESCC), Cllr Keith Glazier.
Nus and Cllr Glazier discussed a wide range of issues affecting Wealden and East Sussex, including funding for Wealden schools and adult social care, as well as discussing how to work together to improve the Wealden road and infrastructure on which Nus’ constituents depend.
Nus also lobbied Keith on behalf of the hundreds of constituents who have been in touch in regards to the closure of the recycling centres at Forest Row and Wadhurst, as well as the proposed changes to the East Sussex Music Service.
Nus Ghani, MP for Wealden, said: “It was great to catch up with Cllr Glazier. We were able to discuss many important issues facing my constituents, which constituents regularly get in touch with me about.
“I look forward to working together to ensure that East Sussex County Council has the support it needs to deliver first-class services for people across Wealden.
“We will continue to work together to push for a fair deal for East Sussex, especially on issues that challenge Wealden residents – social care, education, broadband, fly-tipping, roads and rail, among others.”
